Pestex Inc is seeking a Wildlife Exclusion Technician to join our team—someone who can take pride in problem-solving and hands-on work. In wildlife exclusion, the real problem isn't the pest—it's the building. That’s why we focus on permanently sealing structures using specialized techniques and building materials like sheet metal, wood, and masonry.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in carpentry, roofing, construction, masonry, metal fabrication, or other trades. While direct experience in wildlife exclusion is not required, any related hands-on trade experience will be strongly considered. We will train the right candidate.
This is a full-time position (Mon–Fri, rotating weekends) with the flexibility to operate from your home using a company-provided vehicle. At Pestex, your success is in your hands. Responsibilities:
- Use carpentry, masonry, metalwork, and other construction-based techniques to seal and reinforce homes and businesses against wildlife entry.
- Fabricate and install sheet metal and other exclusion materials to block common wildlife access points.
- Safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders (28–32 ft), and other job-specific equipment.
- Work in varied environments, including confined spaces, crawlspaces, rooftops, and attics.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and team members.
- Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and inventory of tools/materials.
- Complete training and obtain CORE pest control license (paid training provided).
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and handle physically demanding work.
- Comfortable with working at heights and in tight spaces.
- Prior experience in construction, roofing, carpentry, metalworking, or masonry (strongly preferred).
- Willing to undergo a background check and drug screening.
- Willingness to travel (100%) to job sites throughout the area.
Pay and Benefits:
- Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour (based on experience and skillset)
